Adventures in Genealogy - Genealogy on Higher Ground
Welcome Home to my Adventures in Genealogy
_One of the things I enjoy in life is history. There are so many things to learn and so much to learn from it that you just can't help digging deeper and deeper. That is how it is with me and genealogy research.
Quite some time ago, I got involved in a big way in family research. My two oldest daughter's grandfather had missing pieces to his puzzle. When discoveries were made based on the stories and the physical research, it made me immerse myself into the life. Trust me, this is a lifestyle! We breath, sleep, eat and otherwise consume information about our research.
Many researchers do this to share their information in hope that one day all will be saved and found for future generations. Today, researching is made super easy by the use of the internet. My grandmother and two aunts actually went in a moving vehicle to a brick and mortar building and pulled out an actual piece of paper and read it with their own eyes, photocopied it on a machine and placed it in a box. I'm joking about it but it is true. Very little of my research involves driving and actual papers.
I hope in some way that the information I've posted here finds you involved in researching your own family lines, or the lines of others. Enjoy and spread the history with proper credit of course!!
