The "Heinz 57" variety.

My mother always told us we were "a league of nations" when someone would ask what our history was. She often called us a "Heinz 57". She based this on my grandfather's reports of being several different nationalities, but it likely was to throw the trail off - since his family likely believed they would have been persecuted and changed their names several times. Every family has several different nationalities if they go back far enough. For us we are North American with the following ancestry: English, Scottish, Italian, Austrian(somewhere between Russian and Austria but not sure yet) and Dutch. Really.. not so many!
