First an update on the site progress. It's going great! If you've not explored recently, you really should. I've updated more than half the pages on this site and trust me, there are allot of them. I'll continue to work on them the rest of this week, and probably next too.

Also new this week is our Twitter account. You can find me @AGenealogyLady and you can talk about us with #adventuresingenealogy
That's super exciting for me. I hope it is for you too.

Now for a tidbit of family information. The photo to the left is a celebration with Duke Family contributors at Trinity College, later renamed Duke University. The Tobacco giants in Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina had acquired a large amount of respect in the community and became founding contributors to many of the large buildings and monuments around the town and county. While the Duke family of Durham, North Carolina is an indirect line, it's still really great to find such historical information in your family tree.

It's too bad they weren't my grand parents. I sure could use some of that generosity they are giving out at this celebration to the college. Maybe you can find a significant piece of history today in your family tree.

Have fun exploring on a higher ground - Adventures in Genealogy!
