I have some news that may come as a shock to some people. I am not a writer. I know. It's surprising. haha.
I've been struggling for a few months on wrapping up the research for my book so that those of you who are anxiously waiting can finally read it. The main hold up is really not my fault. (Do you like how I did that?) Several of these guys involved have refused to show their lives to me in any great detail. As a genealogist, I find it difficult to leave a life fact unknown. So holding out for a date of death or where someone is buried has been a problem. My head tells me to move on and my brain just keeps searching for answers. One of the key characters associated with the Hartselle Bank Robbery was released from prison along with his wife in about 1946. But what happened to him after has been a complete mystery. I also don't know that he's had any children, and any relatives that I've found of his siblings seem to not respond or know any information. There is a giant file in the Atlanta Archives which will confirm his release date and the details of his trial but it still won't tell me what happened after his release. So let me ask my readers who are anxiously waiting. Shall I continue without all the info, or are you willing to wait and see what happens to get the answers? What do you think? Let me know!
