Father Abraham - had seven sons.... Are you singing that old folk song? I knew you would if you know it. I am not sure how many sons Abraham Heard had, but it could have been seven. On today's Tuesday Tombstone, I want to talk about how little information we sometimes can have especially for areas in time when there just were not many records kept. When that happens, we highly depend on family history and the hope that relations have saved important family items and passed them on from generation to generation.
Not all of our relatives can be famous or infamous, if you will. What family items will you pass down from one generation to another. How will future generations know what they are, what they symbolize or where they came from? Have you written down the story of the items? Have you left a paper trail of it? I hope in your adventures that you are thinking about these things. Soon, this tombstone will be withered away from weather, time and vandals. The only thing left of this Father, Abraham, is the legacy he left in his blood line - whomever they are. With my luck - they were all daughters
