When I was a kid we used to say, "Long Time, No See" when we had seen someone just a few minutes or hours before. It was a silly joke, but nonetheless we always smiled or laughed about it. Even today, I still occasionally say this and think it's kinda silly yet funny. For Cemeteries across the nation, Long Time, No See is a reality and no joke. After my trip in the spring to Perry County, then coming home and getting involved in photographing hidden and forgotten cemeteries, I decided recently that I really honestly want to do something about it. I need help though. If you can help me, the money raised goes to helping me clean up a local cemetery. Many of these cemeteries are hard to get to. I need chainsaws, and weed trimmers and rakes and gloves and poison Ivy block.... and I can go on and on. One thing I need most is the time to do so. This fall/winter project's goal is to raise at minimum, $5000 for clean up of Mooresville, Cemetery. By spring, if I can raise the other $5000 for stone cleaning, positioning and identification, I will be truly happy for sure! I know it sounds like a lot of money, but the work is well worth it. Please read my pages on Mooresville, AL and or Google Mooresville. You will find interesting information as well about the X,Y,Z Pastor. Historically, Mooresville is one of a few left. While the remaining homes (some 10-12) retain historical status, the cemetery is forgotten by even those living there today. Please help if you can. I would truly appreciate it!
