In today's day and age, it sometimes appears that you can find whatever you want on the internet. This is not always the case. When my grandmother and her sister passed away, I was contacted by their last remaining sister. She occasionally sent me a message after that but then she moved and we lost touch. I found out in January, that she too, had passed away. I was sad that the legacy was now gone.
She had contacted me initially because she had heard I was a fellow family researcher through my grandmother prior to her death. So when she out of the blue sent me some items for my research she had said that she didn't want the research to be lost and that I was the only one currently researching the family lines. Today, I was able to find her two daughters (I think) on facebook. I sent them each a message hoping I have the right people. I hope that one of them knows what happened with her hard work, and hope they'll be willing to share it with me. I look forward to keeping in touch with both of them in the future. For now, I wait with bated breath by my messages and email... hoping to have found that living relative that is ever so elusive and enjoying my Adventures in Genealogy. I hope you enjoy your adventures also!
